CARING

Because we care about your safety…

  • Walk on the pool deck – it may be slippery.
  • Only jump in feet first in the shallow end. Diving is only allowed at depths over 8 feet.
  • Forward jumps and dives only – Look where you’re jumping. No back dives, twists, flips, etc.
  • Jump straight out – not to the side.
  • Diving blocks are only used in swim lessons and swim team practices – Stay off the blocks.
  • Inflatable swim aids are not allowed – They are not life-saving devices and pose a choking hazard. You may bring in your own small toys during family swim.

HONESTY

We appreciate your honesty…

  • Ask before you borrow equipment or toys.
  • Lap swimmers – please choose your lane properly.
  • Please inform other lap swimmers when circle swimming is necessary. In a double lane (slow or medium), circle swim when four or more are swimming. In a single lane, circle swim when there are three or more in the lane.
  • Ask the lifeguard on duty if you don’t understand a rule.

RESPECT

Please show respect by…

  • Using the equipment properly.
  • Not having pets or animals, gum, drinks, food or tobacco in the pool area. Water in plastic containers is allowed.
  • Staying off the lane lines and rope separating the deep and shallow ends.
  • Not dunking, splashing or throwing others.
  • Listen to the staff on duty for rules and instructions.

  • Stay out of the pool if you have open wounds or infectious diseases (colds, viruses, rashes, etc.).
  • Please don’t swear, scream or yell unnecessarily for unneeded help.
  • Hair longer than shoulder length should be tied back or held in a swim cap.
  • Failure to follow the rules may result in a “time-out” and/or dismissal from the pool area.
