- $5,000 grant to Franklin School for a community garden

- 60 bike racks installed throughout the city

- Newly implemented YMCA policy provides fruit and veggies to school age programs four days per week for 800 children

2011

 

- 28,732 employees from 27 worksites were impacted by Well Workplace Assessment and Award breakfast

- 200 attendees "broke bread" at Oktoberfest Harvest Dinner

- 100 employees participated in "Bike to Work" Week

- 40 additional bike racks installed throughout the city in collaboration with La Crosse County Health Department

 

2012

 

- 32,288 employees from 36 worksites were impacted by the Well Workplace Assessment and Award breakfast

- 100 homeless individuals from the Salvation Army enjoyed a local grown and healthy meal from People's Food Coop

- 3 mini-grants to youth organizations to improve the healthiness of their concessions

- 12 agencies gathered to discuss better garden coordination

 

2013

 

- 32,715 employees from 36 worksites were impacted by the Well Workplace Assessment and Award breakfast

- 500 healthy slow cooker meal samples and recipes distributed through HUAC Basket Program

- 40 community members committed to supporting community agriculture (CSA) through Ridgeland Harvest

- $10,000 grant awarded for a bike share feasibility study

April 30, 2013 - Study sought for bike-share program
