Youth Fitness and HealthThe Health and Wellness department has something for every youth member. Try out a Teen fitness class! Or maybe you’d rather exercise on your own in the Wellness Center? Then try a Teen Strength Training class. All of our youth fitness classes are designed to encourage youth to exercise in a fun and engaging environment.

We offer classes such as Teen Pump-Up, Teen Strength Training, Teen Yoga, Acceleration, and Fitness for All which is designed for children with disabilities, to help get youth active. We also offer programs for families including Fit Family Fun, Family Yoga, and Family Strength Training. The focus of these programs are to help to build a stronger relationship between parent and youth.

Often we hear families tell us about the positive experience their family had during one of our classes. After a Family Strength class we had a member write on their post program evaluation “I never thought exercising would be so fun. I always pictured exercise as something I just had to do but never enjoyed it. Now both my daughter and I feel that much more energized to exercise at the Y!”

We have seen our impact through our program surveys and the usage of our facilities by both youth and parent. There truly is a place for everyone at the Y!
