Food Service Coordinator – Part Time Hourly

If so, the La Crosse Area Family YMCA is looking for you! Our School Age department is looking for an individual to assist our program as the Food Service Coordinator. This is a part-time position working 25-30 hours per week. The majority of hours are on Mondays and Tuesdays between 6:30 am-6:00 pm.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ordering, organizing, and inventory management of the Food Program.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of food and food supplies to18 off-site program locations.
  • Provide nutritious meals to over 1000 youth in La Crosse County.

 

 

Key Qualifications:

  • A valid driver’s license is required and a clean driving record. 
  • Previous food service experience and/or Serv Safe certification are preferred.

Inclusion Specialist

Make a difference in our community by building relationships with families of all abilities. The La Crosse Area Family YMCA is currently hiring an Inclusion Specialist to lead and supervise our inclusion programs that are modified for individuals with disabilities.

These programs include Miracle League Baseball, Soccer, Basketball, Fitness, Swimming, Flag Football, Dance, and Gymnastics. Under the direction of the Houser Branch Director in Onalaska, the Inclusion Specialist should have experience in all aspects of working with children and adults with disabilities. This is a part-time hourly position working 35 hours per week and includes a free Y membership and health insurance.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, administer and sustain all inclusion and adaptive programs
  • Recruit, develop, train, and evaluate part-time coaches and volunteers
  • Assist in the development and management of the inclusion department budget
  • Develop and foster quality relationships with participants, families, employees, community members, and volunteers
  • Present to community clubs/organizations to build awareness of Miracle League and other inclusive program opportunities
  • Support the organization’s program directors in ensuring their programs are inclusive
 

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical education, adapted physical education, therapeutic recreation or related field or three years of related experience
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of adapted equipment
  • Ability to define problems, gather information and draw valid conclusions
  • Supervisory experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of playing or coaching sports is a plus
  • Grant writing experience is a plus

This is a combined project manager and business analyst role focusing on analytical solutions to business operation needs through the optimization of technological systems and/or process improvements. The Business Analyst will play a key role in the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation of applications. This role is highly collaborative and works with Finance and Operations to capitalize on opportunities for efficiency and enhanced operational effectiveness. This position reports to our CFO and includes a full benefits package including a free Y membership and program discounts plus 12% retirement after 2 years of service. 

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
