Muscular Strength

Mucular strength is the amount of force a muscle can exert in a maximum effort. The size of muscle cells and the nerves ability to activate these cells is all part of muscular strength.

 



Push-Up

Designed to assess upper body muscular strength and endurance. The assessment involves performing push-ups with proper form until failure. Pausing or breaking form causes the trial to conclude. Click the link or picture to see a video demonstration.

Bench Press

Designed to assess upper body strength and endurance using free weights. The assessment involves pressing the weight (80lbs for men and 35lbs for women) at a rate of 60bpm until failure.
