Health Interventions
A New Direction
“A New Direction” is designed to assist youth and young adult cancer survivors to regain their health and well-being before, during and after cancer treatments. This program will provide youth and young adults the opportunity to regain their health and well-being. Participants meet with a certified instructor in a one-on-one environment that is safe and comfortable.
Criteria for Participation
Any youth or young adult from birth to 30 years of age who are currently going through cancer treatment or has gone through some form of cancer treatment (i.e. surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, etc.) in the past that wants to regain their health and well-being.

National Diabetes Prevention Program: Prevent T2
If you have prediabetes or other risk factors for type 2 diabetes, now is the time to take charge of your health and make a change. The PreventT2 lifestyle change program can help!
PreventT2 is part of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It features an approach that is proven to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.
PreventT2 is a year-long program with weekly meetings for the first 6 months, then meetings once or twice a month for the second 6 months to help you maintain your healthy lifestyle changes. By meeting with others who have prediabetes you can celebrate each other’s successes and work together to overcome obstacles
Program Goals:
1. Lose 7% of your body weight
2. Increase physical activity to 150 minutes per week
