AquaticsAt the Y, we strengthen community by offering a place where everyone, regardless of age and ability, can learn about water safety and exercise in a caring environment.

Do you like to swim, or want to improve your technique? Our staff believe in providing top quality lessons to individuals of all ages and abilities. From infants to active older adults, the aquatics department has a place for you.

Let me introduce you to John. On the first day of swim lessons John cried and would not get into the water. Through Mary’s constant encouragement, John was putting his feet in the water and gradually getting more and more of his body wet. At the third lesson John was swimming with Mary with a smile on his face. Soon “swim lesson” day could not come soon enough. Through Mary’s gentle nurturing John became a stronger, safer swimmer.

Our aquatics department offers programs for everyone; from swim lessons, lap swimming, open swim, water exercise, Wave swim team to a Master’s swim program. Come join us in the pool!
