Senior Fitness and HealthSenior Fitness at the Y is focused on fitness programs specifically designed for older adults. Members are encouraged to participate in various fitness and wellness activities under the guidance of caring, supportive and knowledgeable staff.

Mary, a recent member, has discovered the joy of participating in Zumba Gold® and engaging with friends she has made at the Y. “I never thought I would like exercising, but I have found something I truly enjoy!”

Y Active Older Adult Fitness classes
Y Active Older Adult fitness classes including water exercise, yoga, Zumba Gold®, and more! All classes accommodate a wide variety of interests and functional abilities of older adults. SilverSneaker® and Silver&Fit® classes are part of our offerings and members of this program can visit our Y to participate in these classes.

Senior Shape-Up
Join us in a safe and supportive environment that will show you what the Y has to offer for your age group. This program is geared towards men and women 60 years and older who are non-members of the YMCA. Make new friends who share the same goal of living a healthy and active lifestyle.

Fellowship
Socialization is also important at the Y and there are many opportunities for Seniors to gather - whether it is playing cards, attending our Senior Potlucks, working out together in the Wellness Center or participating in our senior fitness classes.
