Exercise has always been a huge part of my life.  Whether its sports, resistance training, or hiking, I find more energized while and myself happier on the move.

My enthusiasm for exercise started with sports as my entire childhood completely revolved around them.  This led to me starting resistance training for sports preparation around age 14, and I have been lifting ever since.

My goal as a personal trainer is to help you overcome any physical limitations you may face through personalized workout plans that cater to your goals.  I also want to help you overcome any mental or psychological barriers that could prevent you from exercising more often (because coming in the gym is always the hardest part!)  Lastly, I wish to bring contagious positive energy to each session so you look forward to training while still working hard!

“Don’t wish for it, work for it.”

Fitness has been a part of my life longer than I can remember.  My family and I were always outside playing games, riding bikes, gardening, etc. and my appreciation and passion for fitness has only increased as I have grown.  I continued my love for fitness and athletics through college with a fitness degree and competing in Track & Field at UW-Eau Claire.  Today, I continue to stay active by spending time outdoors hiking and biking with friends and family.  Success comes from within and I am here to help you reach your full potential.

Let’s make this year a healthy one 🙂

It is my belief that workouts should be fun, as well as challenging and productive.

As of 10 years ago, due to poor lifestyle choices, I was 280 lbs with chronic plantar fasciitis.  Making the decision to begin exercising has led me on a path of passion for a healthier lifestyle.  This passion increasingly and consistently allows me to enjoy life with a happy and positive attitude!

I would be honored to guide, mentor, and motivate you in achieving the same!  Whether we need to make small changes to your fitness routine, create a completely new workout regimen, or begin the first step to a healthier lifestyle.

Let’s discuss your fitness goals, and the lifestyle adjustments that I can assist you in making for a happier and healthier you!

I have learned to appreciate what our bodies are capable of and how they can completely transform, mentally and physically, through movement and fitness.

My own fitness journey has led me down many different and exciting paths, from training for half marathons, to bodybuilding competitions.

Experiencing the benefits of exercise, including increased energy, confidence, and improved mental health, has been truly life changing for me.  It has become my passion and pursuit to help others do the same, unlocking the secret to a happier and healthier lifestyle.  I am excited at the opportunity to help you accomplish your own fitness goals—whether it be your first time stepping into the gym, or already a part of your daily routine—and become the best version of yourself!

I grew up with 5 brothers, so one could say that my fitness journey began competing with them.

I have always enjoyed sports, and as a 3 sport athlete I never had to think about “fitness” – it was just a part of my life.  After graduation from college, I had extra time and money, so it was easy to stay active mountain biking, kayaking, etc.  Then I got married and started having kids…1, 2,…6!  As a busy Mom of 6, I had to make more of a deliberate effort to set aside time and money for my health.  I have learned from my own personal trainer that fitness can be effective, efficient and fun!  I have been a coach of various sports over the years, a phy-ed teacher, and now a group fitness instructor and personal trainer at the Y.  I am excited to work with members of all abilities to achieve their fitness goals – helping you move better and live your life to the fullest!

Over the years I have learned and continue to learn about training for strength, size, reducing fat, athletic performance, movement, and mobility.

I have been a personal trainer for over 10 years.  In the past I have been a strength coach for a high school basketball team, and have designed plyometrics and speed programs for athletes.  In my free time I weight lift, play basketball, sand volleyball and pretty much any outdoor activity.
