YMCA School Age Care allows children the opportunity to explore, build friendships, develop new skills and discover their creativity. YMCA staff focus on character development and emphasize accomplishments and successes in all participants.
Our programs are safe and full of fun activities that encourage physical activity, social interaction, educational opportunities, personal growth and creativity. All YMCA staff attend trainings that cover YMCA mission, character development and child abuse prevention.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Y will continue providing state-licensed childcare in our best effort to meet community needs. Now, maybe more than ever, it is necessary to give kids a place to be kids and families peace of mind that their child is well cared for as we all continue to bounce back from incredibly stressful times for everyone.
The Y’s School Age Childcare programs are eligible for Flexible Pricing options through the Y and we continue to accept Wisconsin Shares Childcare Subsidy payments. Adventure weeks do NOT qualify for Wisconsin Shares Childcare Subsidy payments.

Older School Age kids can enjoy a fun-filled summer with Adventure Weeks! Adventure weeks will be available to children ages 9-13 who want to participate in a specific theme for that week (registration priority will be given to current participants). Children will register for themes they are interested in learning more about and focusing on for a full week, allowing them to take a deeper dive into that area. Children are encouraged to register for weeks they are interested in, you can also request care at a school age location for any weeks that don’t offer a theme your child is interested in.
These weeks are designed to help facilitate more independence, additional social-emotional development opportunities, and provide a positive exposure to a variety of skills and interests. Most weeks will feature a special event to help showcase and celebrate the hard work and development of the kids who participated that week.
Due to the nature of activities offered for Adventure weeks, all participants’ behavior must be able to be redirected quickly. Any participant unable to follow group expectations or is creating an unsafe environment must be picked up immediately and will not be allowed to attend for the remainder of that week.
Location: Pick up and drop off will be at North Woods Elementary School.
Adventure weeks operate 8am-4pm weekdays.
Pricing: Base pricing is listed below. Some weeks include an additional fee per child, that is not available for flexible pricing or multiple child discounts.
